Career Partners International – Kansas City, Grows with New Leadership, Roles and Expanded Scope of Staffing & Recruiting

Posted March 18, 2015

Kansas City, MO (3/19/15) – Career Partners International – Kansas City is pleased to announce its acquisition by Dave Mullikin. Under the direction of Mullikin, Career Partners International – Kansas City will expand and enhance its outplacement and leadership consulting services while adding staffing and search capabilities. Career Partners International approved the leadership change March 5th at its Annual Global Meeting in Miami.

Career Partners International – Kansas City is a trusted advisor and partner for corporations looking to enhance their brand by providing career transition services for departing employees.  The firm is also known for its executive coaching and innovative leadership development solutions that help companies build their talent pipelines and assist high-potential employees and executives in achieving their aspirations.

Mullikin has a strong and successful track record in career transition as well as leadership development in Kansas City and across much of the United States.  He grew CSG Partners to become part of Lee Hecht Harrison (LHH), a global career transition organization, and then led the Kansas City office and nine additional regional offices. Mullikin acquired Career Partners International – Colorado in 2013 and the Institute for Social + Emotional Intelligence in 2014. He prefers the boutique model of local ownership available through Career Partners International, which provides custom programming based on individual needs and local decision-making over the large corporate, standardized model.

“Career Partners International – Kansas City has a reputation for providing the highest quality services and offering clients what many have called ‘The Career Partners International Experience’,” Mullikin said.  “Their exceptional one-on-one customized delivery is unrivaled by any firm. Moving forward we will expand the firm’s suite of services to include staffing and search capabilities, becoming the only firm to provide this entire suite of professional service offerings to Kansas City-based clients.”

“After years of competing with Dave when he owned CSG Partners and built the LHH brand here in Kansas City, we realized this to be a perfect ownership transition that ensures the confirmed growth and success of Career Partners International – Kansas City,” commented John Daugherty, who has led the firm since 2002 and will continue to be a coach and consultant.

Mullikin and Daugherty named two Kansas City-based human resource executives to drive growth and strategy through new client relationships and business development for the firm.

Janice Pinson was named as market president, bringing Big 4 consulting, Fortune 500, transportation, minerals and higher education experience to her long list of business accomplishments.  She will lead the firm’s overall strategy and growth.

Mindy Wetmore was named senior vice president of business development.  Her strong sales and consulting background includes serving as an Adecco branch manager, LHH coach and consultant as well as a B.E. Smith recruiter.

“These additions place a renewed emphasis on business development, expanded career transition programs, leadership services, and a new offering of staffing and search,” according to Mullikin.  Mullikin will also add marketing, administrative & client service coordinators and an expanded team of coaches and consultants to the firm to better meet the needs of clients and service participants.
