    In sales, there is a book published in late 2011 that has quickly become the go-to book regarding sales styles/personalities and their effectiveness. It's called "The Challenger Sale".

    That book outlines one particular type of sales person, the "Lone Wolf", who might break a lot of eggs, but people generally like the cakes. It sounds like this person would fit into this lone wolf category in a sales organization. They don't play by the rules, but they get results.

    Regarding selecting a coach, remember to look for someone who will ask good questions, listen and challenge you. A cheerleader is nice to have, but probably won't help you grow and improve.
