Chapel Hill, NC (12/2/2014) – Diane D. Miller, President and CEO of Wilcox Miller & Nelson, the Sacramento office of Career Partners International, a leading global provider of outplacement, career transition, executive coaching and other talent management services, will speak at the National Association of Corporate Directors’ (NACD) Director Professionalism® Course. Miller will speak on “The Strategic Asset Board,” during the NACD course next week in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
NACD Director Professionalism® courses cover all of the fundamental skills that directors need to be successful board members that impact their organizations’ effectiveness. The course, which takes place over two days, is highly interactive and led by accomplished directors and corporate governance experts located throughout the United States. The agenda for the December 8-9 course includes a mixture of panel discussions, case studies, keynote presentations and networking opportunities for attendees.
“I’m extremely excited to take part in this month’s course in Fort Lauderdale,” stated Miller. “Our discussion of the necessity for open and effective communication between boards and senior management in organizations will illustrate how a board can act as a strategic asset instead of a hindrance to managers and executives.”
An experienced C-suite executive, Miller has held a variety of leadership roles professionally and in her free-time including Director of the California Chamber of Commerce, Regent at University of the Pacific and Chair Emeritus of the NACD’s Northern California Chapter. She regularly speaks on corporate governance issues, including her most recent engagement discussing “New Challenges for Audit Committees” at the 9th Annual University of Southern California (USC) Corporate Governance Summit in Los Angeles last month.
“We’re excited and honored that Diane is taking part in the NACD Director Professionalism® course this month,” commented David P. Hemmer, President and CEO of Career Partners International. “Her continued commitment to improve organizational performance through increased C-suite effectiveness makes her an invaluable asset to those attending this event.”
The December NACD Director Professionalism® course will be held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, FL, on December 8-9, 2014. Miller’s presentation will take place from 1:15pm – 2:15pm EST on December 9th.
